EOTC Surfing 2020

 Hello boys and Girls,

Last week on Friday the years sixes and year fives went surfing for EOTC Week. We went surfing on Sumner beach. We had three buses. We were in this really cool bus with curtains and a air con. When we got there we had to put on our togs and get our wet suits on. It was really hard to put on so our instructors helped us. When all of our wet suits were on the instructors taught us how to be safe when surfing and when there's a earthquake.

 When we got onto the beach the instructors taught us how to stand on the board and how we lie down on the board. Then we got in the water and looked for big waves to catch. I saw a huge wave so I turned my board around and started to paddle. When the wave hit me I was riding the wave. I tried to stand up but I fell off into the water. I caught a couple waves but they were quite small ones.

 Then we had to get out of the water because there was a big rip I think. We waited on the sand then a siren went off. We thought it was a tsunami siren but it was a siren for the rip I think. Then we left the beach and had a shower. we had to take off our wet suits. When they were off we had to get out of our togs so we went to the changes rooms and got dressed into our clothes.

Then we had lunch. We had fish and chips. There was so much fish and chips. I had a fish, It was really yummy. After we had lunch we could play on the beach but we couldn't go into the water. We played touch on the beach and it was really fun. After that we found a crab. It was pretty big.

Zones athletics 2020

 Hello boys and girls,

Last week on Wednesday we went to zones athletics. I went to zones for shot put and long jump. Relay was first but I wasn't in it. All the races and relays went first so I had to wait for ages. My long jump was at 1:45 and My shot put was at 2:15 so I had to wait for ages.  Me and my friend Nuu were in shot put together. IN long jump I was with Sean. I'm not sure wait place I got for long jump But I got 4th for shot put. I didn't make it to centrals unfortunately.

Swimming Term 4

 Hello boys and girls,

On Wednesday we went swimming in our school pool. A lot of people didn't brings their togs. About 7 or 8 people didn't bring their togs. So we got to the pool and got dressed into our togs in the changing room. We weren't allowed to jump in so we just slid into the pool. Me and my friend Lennox played with the balls in the pool. We passed the ball to each other and recreated Rieko Ioane's knock on in rugby and a lot of other things. Then we had to hop out of the pool. We got dressed into our school uniform and went back to class.

Descriptive Writing

This week and last week we are doing Descriptive Writing. We are describing someones birthday party. Today I am going to share my story with you. It is not finished but I hope you can give me some Feedback.

Tree Planting

 Hello boys and girls,

Today I am going to be telling you guys about tree planting. On Wednesday the trusted trekkers and health leaders went on a small trip to Springfield. We had to take to vehicles there. There was a van and a car and I went in the van. Me and my friends all went in the back of the van. My friends were Lennox Connor Tory and me. It was like a 50 minute drive to Springfield.

 When we got to Springfield we went toilet and walked to a big Donut. I managed to climb into the Donut and take a photo. Then we got back into the van and went to a farm were we were planting. We met the owner on the farm which was Dik and Jenny. We at morning tea then went to the planting spot. It took a while because they had a such a big farm.

When we got there Dik and Jenny told us how to plant. When they finished we started planting. Connor Lennox and Tory were making these triangles to go around the plant when it has been planted. I had this bucket full of these white thing that help the plant grow. I put one in each hole. Then we finished and we went back to our van. We had lunch, Dik showed us around the farm. We finished and we went back to the van and drove back to school. I nearly went to sleep I when I was on the van.

Rugby League Game

 Hello boys and girls,

On Tuesday we played rugby league. We versed Tempelton school. There was only one game because other school's didn't come because of Covid-19.  I scored 2 tries.The first try was when we passed it out wide and I got the ball and there was so much space in front of me so I ran and Dived over the line. The second try for me was when I got passed the ball a defender ran at me so I basically stepped him. That made a big gap for me so I ran through the gap and scored. Somehow we won 10 to 7 I think. That meant that we won the competition.
